Our Story
Frank ‘n’ Scents started with a nervous little Sprocker Spaniel named Frank.
In early 2021, Frank and I (Danielle) were introduced to mantrailing in Switzerland during a period when he was struggling with extreme fear of people. We’d tried everything, but nothing helped him feel truly safe or confident. That is, until we discovered the world of Mantrailing.

Mantrailing gave Frank a purpose. And in turn, it gave us a partnership.

What started as a hobby quickly became a passion. I trained, I studied, and I never stopped trailing. Eventually, I became an Accredited Head Instructor with Mantrailing Global and started building a community around this incredible sport, right here in Switzerland.

Now, I help other dog owners (especially English-speaking expats in Switzerland) discover what their dogs are capable of, and give them a whole new way to connect, grow, and have fun together, through search dog training.

Our Mission
Our mission is to empower dogs and their humans through the sport of mantrailing. Building confidence, connection, and community one trail at a time.
We believe in making Mantrailing accessible, inclusive, and fun, helping every dog feel capable and every handler feel proud. Whether you’re starting out or trailing regularly, we’re here to support your journey, come rain or shine.
Our Core Values

Meet Danielle..
Hi, I’m Danielle — founder of Frank 'n' Scents Mantrailing, and Accredited Mantrailing Global Head Instructor and Assessor.

I’ve worked in the pet industry for over 10 years, with a background rooted in behaviour, training, and a deep love for understanding how dogs (and animals) think. I hold an Executive Diploma in Zoology, and my passion for this incredible sport (mantrailing) began in 2021 when I started trailing with my own dog, Frank ; a nervous Sprocker Spaniel who changed everything.

Mantrailing quickly became more than just a hobby. I trained with a Search and Rescue team here in Switzerland, became an accredited Mantrailing Instructor in 2022, and since then, it has been my sole focus.

Today, I run workshops and sessions across Switzerland and the UK, supporting teams of all levels; from total beginners to fellow instructors.
I’m also proud to be the first in the world to introduce mantrailing as an extracurricular activity in international schools in Switzerland.

Above all, I care deeply about helping dogs feel confident, giving owners something truly rewarding to do with their dogs, and creating a community that trails together with purpose, patience, and joy.
