Helen is a Fully Accredited Mantrailing Global Instructor with experience supporting a wide range of dog and handler teams across different environments. Her work focuses on creating supportive learning spaces where both people and dogs can develop confidence, communication, and trust through practical trailing work.

Alongside her work with dog-handler teams, Helen Applies 30+ years as a senior HR leader, specialising in coaching, organisational change and development, employee engagement, and wellbeing to create supportive learning spaces where students build confidence, develop clear communication, emotional intelligence, and collaborative problem‑solving within search‑dog training environments.

She has developed a particular interest in bringing mantrailing into educational environments. Through structured search scenarios, students are encouraged to think clearly, communicate effectively, and work together as part of a coordinated team. She is especially passionate about helping young people build empathy and understanding around working with dogs, while developing the teamwork and problem-solving skills that naturally emerge through search dog training.

As a member of the UK senior team for Frank ’n’ Scents Mantrailing, Helen contributes to programme development and supports the ongoing evolution of high-quality educational delivery within the field.
